Description
This manual for rural health centre staff - including doctors and medical assistants, community nurses and other grades of health workers in developing countries - has been completely re-written with new and updated information. It explains in straightforward language the methods and services necessary to maintain the mother and child in good health. This book arose out of the author's experiences in setting up the child health services and relevant training programmes in Tanzania. Since then it has been constantly revised and amended, not least with the author's experience in running the tropical MCH MSc course in the Institute of Child Health, London University.
