Pediatric Neurosurgery: Theoretical Principles. Art of Surgical Techniques

There are three reasons for writing a second edition of a book, the first edition of which sold out rapidly: incorporate newly established technical and conceptual principles into the text, weed out information and techniques which no longer apply, and elaborate upon time-proven (clinical) interpretations and interventions. The pace of changes in pediatric neurosurgery has been accelerated by the enormous flow of new practitioners into the field, the socio-economic impact of diminishing population growth in the industrialized world with population doubling in the remainder of the Earth, dramatic advances in neuroimaging and the surgical treatment of epilepsy.
