This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-workshop proceedings of the 6th International Workshop on Database Programming Languages, DBPL-6, held in Estes Park, Colorado, USA, in August 1997. The 20 revised full papers presented have gone through two rounds of reviewing and selection.
