Molecular Basis of Hematopoiesis

Specifically it will cover molecular basis for hematopoietic stem cell commitment and terminal differentiation. Recent discoveries in role of transcription factors and the influence of cytokines will be discussed in the context of human and mouse hematopoietic lineages. In addition signal transduction pathways regulating proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis will be presented in the volume. Finally, the volume will cover recent advances in targeting signal transduction pathways in treatment of hematopoietic disease, including utilization of hematopoietic cells in the clinical setting.
